Great to see I am featured with Mr Punch in the new Great Food and Drink film for Nottingham castle. Check it out here.
Traditionally every Organ Grinder had a Monkey who would dance and hold his hand out for coins as the Organ Grinder played his music. Real Monkeys are now a long and distant memory, however we are able to bring you a 20th Century equivalent. Meet Monty the Monkey, a mechanical coin collecting character known as a Bradford Monkey. Now almost as rare as the real thing, Monty will tip his hat when he is given a coin. Mr Punch caught the eye of Diarist Samuel Pepys in 1662 and now he is to appear at the ancestral home of Literary master Lord Byron.
The Great Food and Drink Festival will be at Newstead Abbey over the August Bank Holiday weekend and Mr Punch will be in attendance with all his usual mayhem plus some Quality sausages on Saturday 29th August 2015. Very pleased to announce that Mr Punch and I will be returning to Catton Hall in Derbyshire on Sunday 30th & Monday 31st August to perform at Palladian Events Art, Craft & Design Show There will be lots of culturally refined things to see and do, so Mr Punch will fit in just fine! He may event have a go on the Traditional Carousel. I just hope he does not try chasing the Alpacas again....... Do come and say hello if you are attending. We are performing 3 shows daily between 11am and 4pm Thanks to the organisers for such a great day at Nottingham Castle for the food and drink festival. Mr Punch was a huge hit and played to full crowds at all three shows! Mr Punch pulled the crowds at the first show of the day here at Catton Hall.
